An angel born from bubbles

Sparkling Angel

“I am very pleased to introduce “Montes Sparkling Angel”, which I hope will be the perfect companion for celebrating life’s special moments.

Sparkling Angel is the fruit of our passion for going above and beyond; for never imposing limits on our work. First, we selected grapes from our coastal vineyard at Zapallar. Then, in the winery, Sparkling Angel spent three years on its lees resulting in a sparkling wine of great elegance.

Above all, great effort from all the team has gone into creating this captivating, sparkling wine."

Cheers!

Aurelio Montes Sr.

Captivating Bubbles

A Special Sparkling

• Because of its origin: Our vineyards at Zapallar, just 7 km from the Pacific Ocean. The coastal climate helps regulate vine growth and promotes pronounced varietal character in the grapes.

• Because of its enology: It was made using the ‘Traditional Method’, also known as the méthode champenoise. Champagnes spend 24 months on their lees; for Montes Sparkling Angel, it is 36. The result is a subtle sparkling wine, sumptuous on the palate, with delightfully fine, lasting bubbles, and distinctive notes of walnut, dried fruit, and toasted bread crumbs.

• Because of the Montes Angels: Our teams of viticulturalists and winemakers have put great effort and passion into making a sparkling wine of the highest quality. We feel our guardian Angels must have helped in the process.

From the fog and wind

Zapallar Vineyard

Zapallar is located on the coast, 180 kilometers (112 miles) northwest of Santiago, where the maritime influence is pronounced. Cold breezes from the Pacific Ocean create ideal temperatures for cultivating grapes of character and elegance. The relative proximity of the Andes Mountains influences night-time temperatures, which are even lower than in other coastal zones. The relative humidity is high throughout the season, and annual rainfall is 340–380 mm. The average high temperature is 25ºC (77ºF), and the average low is 12ºC (54ºF). Regular morning fogs disappear with the midday sun, then afternoon winds help control growth and develop concentrated juice in the grapes.

Montes Sparkling Angel

Every bottle of Montes Sparkling Angel demonstrates our passion and best efforts to ensure that its bubbles add to the enjoyment of life’s special moments, something our customers worldwide deserve.
